Ilse Houting is director of Ops Factor. As Human Factors Consultant Ilse is integrating the operations factor in automation projects to bring synergy between operations and technique. Over the years Ilse specialised in control room design and operator performance in a broad range of branches. Ilse makes the difference by facilitating a human centred design approach to connect technology, organization and people at the start of automation projects.

Managing to translate ergonomic and ISO standards into practical design tools which offer project teams clear goals and defined steps, realizing a control room where operators can work at their best and perform a safe, efficient and effective job. Ilse completed a M.Sc and a postdoc Human Factors engineering at the VU Amsterdam. Before Ops Factor Ilse participated as independent Human Factors consultant in a wide variety of international projects.
