Mr Paul Ravenstijn MSc graduated from Delft University of Technology and obtained his master’s degree in hydraulic engineering. He has 20 years professional experience in middle to large multi-complex (multi-disciplinary and -stakeholder) and integral projects in port development and waterways, resilient cities, flood and coastal protection and river basin management. Within these projects he has dealt several times with their urban- and landscape integration and design on several abstraction levels.

As most projects he is working on are multi-complex, measures are always sustainable and designed and executed in a broader context. He is involved in the decision-making processes around it, he empathizes with matters that are important to local stakeholders, governmental bodies and clients. He has to political sensitivity to feed the decision makers and clients with the right information. From this broad experience he quickly has a general overview on his projects and can level down fast to details and risk-items. He has work experience in Bolivia, Colombia, Paraguay, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and The Netherlands. As a senior project manager and consultant he manages international projects and project teams respecting different backgrounds and cultures. He is the managing director of the Witteveen+Bos office in Panama and fluent in Spanish.
